Flowers That Look Like Black Eyed Susans. With petals splayed back, they display long, nectar-filled centers that make them the perfect flowers for a butterfly. black dot in middle and brown on the yellow but bigger than a black eyed susan. The strangest flower I have ever seen, a crazy looking Black Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia), blooms in the field in the shape of a kooky smiley face.

I have visions of surrounding the gnome house with flowers! These cheery wildflowers have daisy-like blooms of bright yellow petals, surrounding cone-shaped brown centers.

Anyway… this year, like all of my plants, my poor Black Eyed Susans are looking a bit frumpy from the heat.
